Medical Practice is Changing to “Cash Only” as of September 1, 2020

 

Dear Patients,

It has been an honor, and privilege, for Janet, Marlene and I to serve you all over these 30+ years.  However, it is time for a major change in the practice.  Each of you, I am sure, is aware the medical practices have endured rising overhead expenses and declining insurance reimbursements for years now.  We believe we have only one alternative to my retirement: as of September 1, 2020, our practice will no longer accept payments from insurance companies or Medicare. Patients will be asked to pay on day of service, with cash or credit card.

 

Our office visit charge will be $250; new patient visits will be $300.  Ultrasounds will cost $150.  Letters, forms, prior authorizations, etc. will be charged at a rate reflecting the time and effort required – Ranging from no charge for a short note to $50 for onerous forms.  Appointment cancellation with less than two work days’ notice will incur a $50 charge.
